After studying for 4 years in Manchester UK to be a Surface Pattern Designer I went backpacking and next came 34 years in Manly NSW.
After many art courses and raising a family I am now retired and an enjoying having time to paint.
I moved from Manly to Katoomba 12 months ago.
The Blue Mountains is a stunning UNESCO area as big as Switzerland. As an avid bushwalker I am inspired by the colours and textures around me.
I love the play of light, the constant shifting of tones and colours. I love walking at the golden hour when the slanting shadows make everything more dramatic and warm and honey toned.
This is a daily practice for me and I feel so much myself in my studio surrounded by the photos and treasures I collect in the bush.
