I began working with clay in the mid-1970s with Col Levy at Penrith TAFE. I studied Ceramic Art and Technology with Terry Kirk at Goulburn CAE as a parallel course with teacher training.
After a break of 35 years, teaching in preschools to universities, with museums and galleries in between, I came back to clay in 2014. For the last two years I have studied with Chris James at Brookvale TAFE.
Last year we were asked to develop a creative response to our lives before and after COVID-19 and to explore this response through technique, media, design and colour. The Forest Castle is the tree-line of Mt Blackheath from Belgravia Point, Medlow Bath. It reminds me of hilltop villages I have seen from the sea … and hope to see again soon.
