To enter the Bartchibald Prize, you need to make a portrait. While some other portrait prizes only accept portraits of people, the Bartchibald encourages you to create portraits of pets as well. Your dog, your cat, your budgie, your miniature pony… or you can choose regular humans like friends and family members.
There’s no entry fee
Work can be for sale or not
15% commission on sales
You can make your portrait in and on any medium
All entries must be no larger than 25cmx 25cm

Entries can be dropped off at BARTS from June 1 in the back room on the left. Please follow the instructions you’ll see when you get there. On June 7 you can drop off submissions at BARTS between 10am and 12pm.
There’s a prize for over 18s and under 18s - which is a workshop of your choice - and winners will be determined by People’s Choice.
The Bartchibalds will be shown in a mini-exhibition at the Open Day on June 8. We hope you’ll enter for the prize, come along to support it and bring your friends.
