Make you own zine: a creative group for young people

Make your own zine: a creative group for young people

Create your own characters and stories and bring them to life in zines.

We will explore and develop our own characters and tell their stories. Over 5 weeks, we will gather these stories in zines – handmade/self-published mini-books/magazines that we can keep for ourselves or share with others. Drawing on a variety of creative mediums, young people will be supported to find their own ways to express themselves creatively.

  • Week 1- Explore characters and the storytelling pattern of the hero’s journey.

  • Week 2- Develop our characters and stories.

  • Week 3-5 Create zines using collage, drawing, painting or writing.
